Get ready for a magical weekend of snow, community, and fun in the heart of the Cariboo Mountains! Join us in Wells, BC for a cozy and exciting winter escape at the Wells Snowshoe Festival 2026! All proceeds go to the Wats Society. 

What is Wats? WATS (Wells and Area Trails Society) is a non-profit, volunteer-run society that works to develop, maintain and improve the non-motorized trails in the Wells, BC area.  WATS encourages all forms of non-motorized recreation including hiking, biking, skiing and snowshoeing, with no trail fees!

This Weekend of all things Snowshoe will kick off Friday evening with a casual meet-up and blissy night time walk to connect with other festival goers and stare at the stars! On Saturday, take part in the Cariboo Cup, a fun and friendly snowshoe race suitable for all levels! Join us for family-friendly games and activity throughout the day, and end your evening with a Snowshoe Festival appropriate film at the Sunset Theatre! Sunday, we’ll slow down and explore Well’s pillowy landscape on a guided snowshoe before the weekend wraps up.

Ticket options below:

• Entry into either the 5km or 10km race – races start at 11:00am
• Film festival at the Sunset Theatre – starts at 7pm
• Guided Snowshoe Sunday – starts at 10am
• Breakfast Sunday – starts at 8:30am
