Adventure Overview
Step into the cedar-scented heart of the Cariboo for a weekend that blends history, exploration, and connection.
The Likely Historic Adventure is a relaxed, front-country camping experience designed for those who love the outdoors but want the comfort of a group site with space for both tents and small trailers — plus easy access to stunning terrain.
We’ll explore Quesnel Forks, a preserved gold-rush ghost town at the confluence of the Quesnel and Cariboo Rivers, paddle or relax at the lake beside camp, and summit  an un used caribou mountain trail— a true hidden gem of the region.
It’s a weekend of exploring, laughing hard, and soaking up that wild Cariboo energy — where every moment feels a little freer.
Itinerary
Friday – Arrival + Historic Exploration
Arrive anytime after 1 PM and settle into our cozy group campsite tucked in the cedars. There’s room for tents or trailers, so set up your space, explore the lake, and get to know your crew. We will have snacks, games and plenty of paddle time, exploring the beautiful Quesnel Lake. In the evening, enjoy a guided visit to Quesnel Forks, a beautifully preserved ghost town that offers a window into BC’s gold-rush history. Wrap up the day with a group dinner around the campfire under a canopy of stars.
Saturday – Cariboo Alpine Hike
After a hearty camp breakfast, we’ll set off on a  day hike to a local near by trail, one of the Cariboo’s best-kept secrets. Expect alpine meadows, wildflowers, and panoramic views that make the climb well worth it. After a full day in the mountains, we’ll gather for
appetizers at a local pub, The Likely Lodge (Dinner meal not included), celebrating our summit with good food and good company before returning to camp for a relaxed evening.
Sunday – Morning Paddle + Farewell
Enjoy a group breakfast, followed by a guided paddle on the lake — a peaceful finish before we pack up and say our goodbyes. Depart around noon feeling grounded, refreshed, and connected.
