SUMMARY:Skyline to the Border: A Manning Park Backpacking Adventure July 21–23 | Manning Park\, BC
DESCRIPTION:Join Guided By for a three-day backcountry backpacking trip into the alpine landscapes of Manning Provincial Park. This guided adventure follows a section of the beautiful Skyline Trail to a quiet forest camp before exploring the dramatic ridgeline of Hozameen Ridge.\nOver three days we’ll hike through subalpine meadows\, forested trail corridors\, and high alpine ridge terrain while carrying our overnight packs into the backcountry.\n\nThe Trip\nOur journey begins along the Skyline Trail as we hike into Mowich Camp\, a peaceful backcountry campsite tucked into the trees. While the camp itself sits quietly within the forest\, the trail leading there offers sweeping alpine views and some of the most scenic hiking terrain in southern British Columbia. \nWe’ll settle into camp for two nights\, giving us the chance to slow down and enjoy the experience of being deep in the backcountry. \nOn our full day in the mountains we’ll head out with lighter packs to explore Hozameen Ridge\, a striking ridgeline that runs along the Canada–USA border. From the ridge we’ll take in expansive views across Manning Park and toward Hozameen Mountain\, one of the most dramatic peaks in the region. \nOur destination is near Monument 74\, where a border marker stands along the ridge — a unique spot where two countries meet in the alpine. \nEvenings back at camp are all about good food\, fresh mountain air\, and the quiet of the forest. \n\nTrip Highlights\n\n\nBackpacking along the scenic Skyline Trail \n\n\nTwo nights at a remote backcountry campsite \n\n\nDay hiking along the dramatic Hozameen Ridge \n\n\nBig alpine views toward Hozameen Mountain \n\n\nA fully guided small-group backcountry experience \n\n\n\nTrip Stats\nDuration: 3 days / 2 nightsLocation: Manning Park\, BCCamping: Backcountry (Mowich Camp) \nDay 1:Hike to Mowich CampApprox. 8 kmApprox. 500–600 m elevation gain \nDay 2:Day hike along Hozameen Ridge toward Monument 74Approx. 10–12 km round tripApprox. 400 m elevation gain \nDay 3:Hike out from Mowich CampApprox. 8 km \nTotal Distance: ~26–28 km over three days \n\nDifficulty\nModerate Backpacking Trip \nParticipants should be comfortable hiking 8–12 km per day and carrying an overnight backpack. \nThe terrain includes forest trails\, alpine sections\, and some sustained elevation gain.
