SUMMARY:Longworth Lookout - April 10th
DESCRIPTION:This another one our favs and we are excited to take on this challenging hike with a crew of ambitous adventurers! This trail starts off gradually along an old skid trail and then cuts up into more Cedar & Hemlock forest as you follow switch backs up the mountain. This is a 13 km in and out trail.\nRated – Difficult/hard. This hike is difficult as the kms feel long & is a constant incline.  The last 3 km to the top are fairly steep. Depending on snow pack we may not be able to go all the way to the top and we will be packing snowshoes on our backpacks \nMeeting at Spruce Land parking lot in front of the Starbucks (grab your coffee for the drive) We are hoping to be able to use to van for transportation by this date however if we are not able due to provincial restrictions please be ready to drive yourself & follow us from meet up location. The trail head is about 2 hours NE of Prince George. Leaving Prince George at 6:30am\, meeting between 6:15-6:30am. Heading back to PG at 5pm at the latest. \nPlease be aware we will be following all current Covid guidelines. When you arrive please stay at vehicle while you put on snowshoes & maintain 2 meters distance from other group members. Covid self assessment must be done prior to meeting up which will be emailed prior to adventure. \nWhat to bring-\n\nSnowshoes\nLunch\nGear for all elements (gloves\, toque\, layers) Dress in layers (be bold\, start cold) you will warm up fast as we head upwards so make sure to wear pieces you can easily take off when you get hot and put back on at the top.\nBackpack for lunch & water\nPoles (optional)\n\nWhats Included? \n\nGuided snowshoe ( two guides who have extensive knowledge of area\, route\, terrain & are equipped to keep you safe while you have an amazing time in the backcountry)\nLearn about proper route finding\, spotting avalanche terrain & winter travel\nSnacks\nBeverage\n\n****An email will be sent out to all group members 24 hours prior to go over meeting spot & any gear/info changes**** \nIf you require any gear or have any questions please email us at theadventurebustours@gmail.com \nWe can’t wait to Adventure with you!\nMeg & James\n  \nRefund Policy – Due to the nature of outdoor adventure and that we have many upfront costs\, all day adventures are non refundable. SUMMARY:Longworth Lookout - August 9th
DESCRIPTION:Longworth Lookout is a much better place to wander in the summer versus the winter so we are heading back to hit the summit and take in some gorgeous views. This hike starts off fairly gradual as we make our way up an old skid rd. At about 3.5km we enter the forest and start to climb the long switchbacks. Are we there yet? Nope still a good few kms away from the summit. This hike has fairly easy terrain but you must be able to handle the length and have good hiking endurance.\nRated – Hard. This is a 15 km in and out trail with 1070 m in elevation. \nMeeting – Meeting at spruce land mall out front the starbucks between 6:45-7am\, hitting the rd by 7am. It is a roughly two hour drive to trail head. Goal is to be back in PG by around 7pm\, depending on trail condition\, group pace & how long we want to sunbath for! \nIf you are driving yourself please email to register as the cost is $15 less  \nWhat to bring-\n\nGear for all elements (gloves\, toque (for alpine) & Dress in synthetic layers – warmth\, rain. heat\, mosquitos!\nBackpack & water\nLunch (we can also provide you with a dehydrated meal for an extra $10) please request at check out\nGaiters (strongly recommended)\nPoles (optional)\nPad or backpacking chair to sit on\nBear spray if you have it\, please no bear bells\n\n\nWhats Included? \n\nGuided hike  (hike with guide who has park permit to operate within park\, extensive knowledge of area\, route\, terrain & is equipped to keep you safe while you have an amazing time on your adventure)\nSnacks & refreshments\nTransportation from PG to trail head & back\n\n****An email will be sent out to all group members 24 hours prior to go over meeting spot & any gear/info changes**** If you require any gear or have any questions please email us at theadventurebustours@gmail.com \n\nWe can’t wait to Adventure with you!\nMeg & James \nRefund Policy – Due to the nature of outdoor adventure and that we have many upfront costs\, all day adventures are non refundable within 72 hours of trip.
