SUMMARY:Okanagan Adventure Series - Gaia GPS intro - May 21st
DESCRIPTION:Correction – the date for this workshop is may 21st\nCome out for a fun and educational wander around the woods within in Penticton\, BC. This session will go over the main functions of the GPS app Gaia which is used from your smart phone. We will go over features and then participants will get the chance to route find using Gaia.\nLearn to…. \n\ntrack your routes\ncreate your own routes\nunderstand and use the data from your saved routes\nlocate and orient yourself on the map\nlearn about different map layers (slope angle shading for winter terrain assessment)\n\nWe will also be touching on other GPS systems as well as emergency locators. \n  \nMeeting –  \nEmail sent with location info. Session starts at 6pm \nThese sessions are pay what you can. We suggest a minimum donation of $5 to help cover costs associated with running workshops.
