SUMMARY:Fang Mountain Backpacking Trip - August 18th - 20th 2023 - FULL
DESCRIPTION:***This trip is now fully booked please email guidedbyadventurepg@gmail.com to be put on the waitlist***\nWe are heading back to Evanoff Provincial Park to take in two nights on breathtaking Fang Mountain! Once camp is set up you will enjoy some delicious appetizers and refreshments. Learn about campsite selection\, setting up a camp kitchen and settle into that post hike bliss. The next day your guides will take you on an off trail adventure exploring the nearby ranges\, enjoy some down time and climb to Fang summit after dinner.\nCome enjoy this wild Northern mountain\, with two nights spent beside the meadows\, overlooking an alpine lake. This will be one of our most challenging trips as there is difficult terrain and steep parts to climb so rest assured your guides will be route finding & assisting you through every tricky moment of this ascent. This hike takes us through cedar forest\, boulder fields\, steep mountainside trecking and past two cave systems.The wildlife is all around\, you’ll hear marmots echoing behind mossy boulders\, many types of birds and perhaps even see the grizzly that roams Fang Mountain.The first day our hike to camp is 5 km and we will climb almost 1000 metres of elevation. We will cover around 6-8 km on our off trail hiking day\, before retiring to camp for our second night.\nYou get to show up & enjoy your adventure vacation as we take care of all the details from safety\, camp arrangement\, camp kitchen set up\, transportation & guiding. Every guest will receive an itinerary & gear list closer to adventure date.\n  \n  \nActivity Level/Rating – Difficult\, we highly recommend you are a strong hiker prior to coming on this adventure. If this is something you want to work up to please reach out and we will suggest some prior hikes to come on to get you prepared for this Adventure. Consists of boulder fields\, steep slopes and loose rock.\n\nOption 1) You have all of your own gear\, food & are and are ready to adventure with us!\n$225 per person \n\nGuided hike & backcountry camping by an Apprentice ACMG Hiking Guide\, day of off trail hiking\nAppetizers & refreshments\nCarpooling available from Prince George\nExtras included (water filtration\, bug spray\, guide takes care of food storage)\n\n\nOption 2) Don’t have your full set up yet\, not sure about food choices…. let us take care of all that for you with our all-inclusive package. Rent pieces from us & or add on backcountry meals to your all set package. A non refundable deposit of $50 is required at time of registration. Please note –  We do everything in the best of our abilities to provide an amazing experience for our guests however due to weather & safety restrictions we may\, at times\, not be able to reach summit or desired view with group.  \n
