SUMMARY:Raven Lake Overnight - September 11th
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the second Raven Lake overnight of the season! As we hike up we will follow a gradual switch back trail up through a beautiful old growth forest and break through into alpine meadow. From the alpine we will hike down to the lake and to our camp spot for the night. Once we are settled into the cabin or tents\, our legs are rested and we have some lunch we will head out for some more exploration. We have rented the beautiful new cabin for this adventure\, so you have the option to stay in cabin or tent it right outside.\n\nActivity Level/Rating – Great for all levels. Rated as moderate (the hike up with overnight pack will take roughly 2.5-3 hours) We will be hiking for another 1-2 hours after camp set up (optional) \nThis is for you if you are new to backpacking and are looking for a great start to your season or journey into backpacking. If you are a seasoned back packer but looking to learn new routes & meet like-minded people. \n\nOption 1) You have gear\, food & are and are ready to adventure out with us!\n$125 per person\n\n\nOption 2) Don’t have your full set up yet\, not sure about food choices…. let us take care of all that for you with our all-inclusive package. DESCRIPTION:Buckhorn Lake is one of our favourite paddles and super close to town! We will circle the shores of the lake and finish by paddling down a short off short of the lake which backs onto a nearby farm\, beautiful!\nEvery paddle will be a guided route with a certified Stand up Paddling instructor. These adventures will run RAIN or SHINE. We will only postpone due to high winds or lighting.  \nEmail will be sent out prior to each paddle with specific directions (we will meet at lake) gear requirements\, waivers etc. We have two Kayaks & three paddle boards for rent. These will go first come first serve. \n  \nCOST – $20  per guided paddle\, $15 for rental (includes board/kayak & PFD)  \n  \nSeptember 7th- Buckhorn Lake 6pm start. Buckhorn Lake is South of PG.

SUMMARY:Fang Mountain Hike - September 4th
DESCRIPTION:Its time to head back to Fang for a day hike! This will be one of our most challenging trips as there is difficult terrain and steep parts to climb. We will take our time and make sure everyone feels confident making their way through the boulder fields and up the steep pitch to the first cave. Once in the meadows we will rest\, take in the views and then make our way to the summit!\n  \nActivity Level/Rating – Difficult\, we highly recommend you are a strong hiker prior to coming on this adventure. This is a 15 km in and out trail with 1100 m elevation \nMeeting – Meeting at spruce land mall out front the starbucks between 6:15am – 6:30am\, hitting the rd by 6:30am. It is a roughly two hour drive to trail head. SUMMARY:Community Adventure Series - Domano Loop - August 25th
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our third of our three FREE events! These events are in collaboration with Back Forty Lifestyle Co. Everyone that takes part in one of the free events will be entered into winning one of their custom paddler hoodies or mountains and woods hoodie along with Happy Yak backpacking meals!\nOur goal is to encourage everyone to come out. Find adventure\, community\, make new friends & have a great time in a welcoming and supportive environment! \nDomano Loop is one of our favourite easy wanders within PG! This is a 4.7km loop trail that starts off along a dirt rd which cuts into a beautiful path lined with poplar trees. We hike down to the Fraser River and continue along the side before making our way back up to the rd. This is a great hike for all levels\, everyone welcome! \nMeeting – 5:45pm – 6pm\, hitting the trail by 6pm \nLocation – Meeting spot is at the end Domano rd (Domano & malaspina) in lower College Heights. You will see the big orange bus there! SUMMARY:Nechako Ridge Hike - August 12th
DESCRIPTION:We are heading back to one of our favourite in town adventures! This hike starts STEEP\, but its worth it we promise! After a five minute scramble we spend the rest of the hike walking the ridgeline before our stopping point\, above the Nechako river.\nRated – moderate \nLength – 3 km loop “trail \nMeeting between 5:45pm-6pm\, hitting the trail by 6pm\, meeting at the end of north Nechako. if heading north up foothills you would turn LEFT onto north nechako\, drive until the pavement turns into gravel\, you will see the bus! : ) \nPlease note these hikes run rain or shine. We will only postpone if conditions are unsafe.   Please be aware we will be following all current Covid guidelines. SUMMARY:Longworth Lookout - August 9th
DESCRIPTION:Longworth Lookout is a much better place to wander in the summer versus the winter so we are heading back to hit the summit and take in some gorgeous views. This hike starts off fairly gradual as we make our way up an old skid rd. At about 3.5km we enter the forest and start to climb the long switchbacks. Are we there yet? Nope still a good few kms away from the summit. This hike has fairly easy terrain but you must be able to handle the length and have good hiking endurance.\nRated – Hard. This is a 15 km in and out trail with 1070 m in elevation. \nMeeting – Meeting at spruce land mall out front the starbucks between 6:45-7am\, hitting the rd by 7am. It is a roughly two hour drive to trail head. DESCRIPTION:This is a once in a lifetime adventure! Let us whisk you away to magical Bella Coola where we will spend our time hiking\, relaxing & a day spent boating to hidden hot springs. We will have the entire Firvale Camp to ourselves and we will be staying in style as our “camp” accommodations are beautiful A frame cabins & Domes. DESCRIPTION:This two hour worksop will take you from “Ive never been on my board before ” to feeling calm and confident cruising through flat water. Even if you have had some time on your board this is a great way to improve some skills and learn how to make the most out of your paddling adventures!\nEvery workshop is lead by certified Stand Up Paddling Instructors & starts with a dry land portion in which we go over some SUP history\, board terminology\, safety\, launching\, and getting on and off the board. We will cover paddling strokes\, proper stance and trip planning. The workshop is always finished with a short lake cruise to allow some time to play around & test out your new skills!\nWe will be launching at one of our favourite lakes\, Eena Lake. Eena Lake is a half hour NorthWest of town.\nMeeting – Meeting at Eena lake around 5:30pm-   workshop starts at 6pm. SUMMARY:Raven Lake Overnight   July 14th - 15th
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the second Raven Lake overnight of the season! To start the summer off right we are heading East of town to Raven Lake. As we hike up we will follow a gradual switch back trail up through a beautiful old growth forest and break through into alpine meadow. From the alpine we will hike down to the lake and to our camp spot for the night. Once camp is set up\, our legs are rested and we have some lunch we will head out for some more exploration. We have rented the beautiful new cabin for this adventure\, so you have the option to stay in cabin or tent it right outside.\n\nActivity Level/Rating – Great for all levels. Rated as moderate (the hike up with overnight pack will take roughly 3.5 hours) We will be hiking for another 1-2 hours after camp set up (optional) \nThis is for you if you are new to backpacking and are looking for a great start to your season or journey into backpacking. If you are a seasoned back packer but looking to learn new routes & meet like-minded people. \n\nOption 1) You have gear\, food & are and are ready to adventure out with us!\n$95 person\n\n\nOption 2) Don’t have your full set up yet\, not sure about food choices…. let us take care of all that for you with our all-inclusive package. Everyone that takes part in one of the free events will be entered into winning one of their custom paddler hoodies or mountains and woods hoodie along with Happy Yak backpacking meals!\nOspika Backcountry is one of our favourite easy wanders within PG! This is a 3km loop trail on the the lesser used side of Ginters. This is a great hike for all levels\, everyone welcome! \nMeeting – 5:45pm – 6pm\, hitting the trail by 6pm \nLocation – Meeting spot is at the end of Ferry rd. If heading South up ospika you would turn RIGHT onto ferry and drive to the end of the rd. You will see the big orange bus there! SUMMARY:Norman to Dahl Lake Paddle - June 27th
DESCRIPTION:We are heading West to spend the day guiding one of our favourite paddles. We will meet at Norman Lake and paddle along the shore before turning into the channel that leads into Dahl Lake.\nRated – Easy/moderate. All group paddles are fun\, relaxed and great for all levels. We do suggest you have prior experience on your board or kayak as these are not lesson days. This will approximately a 6km paddle. These events run RAIN OR SHINE\, however if winds are too strong or there is lighting risk we will postpone. \n  \nMeeting – We will be meeting at Norman Lake. Norman Lake is 64 kms WEST of PG. SUMMARY:Raven Lake day Hike - June 26th
DESCRIPTION:Our first trip to Raven of the season!! We will definitely be making our way up through some snow so snowshoes are required! The weather looks amazing so let make our way up through the forest\, through the snowy meadow and down to the cabin where we will relax in the sunshine and have a long lunch & rest!\nRated – Moderate ~ this is a 10 km in and out trail. The trail may be muddy with rotten snow in may sections. \nMeeting – Meeting at spruce land mall out front the starbucks between 6:45-7am\, hitting the rd by 7am. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our first overnight of the season! To start the summer off right we are heading East of town to Raven Lake. As we hike up we will follow a gradual switch back trail up through a beautiful old growth forest and break through into alpine meadow. From the alpine we will hike down to the lake and to our camp spot for the night. Once camp is set up\, our legs are rested and we have some lunch we will head out for some more exploration.\n\nActivity Level/Rating – Great for all levels. Rated as moderate (the hike up with overnight pack will take roughly 2.5 hours) We will be hiking for another 1-2 hours after camp set up (optional) \nThis is for you if you are new to backpacking and are looking for a great start to your season or journey into backpacking. If you are a seasoned back packer but looking to learn new routes & meet like-minded people. \n\nOption 1) You have gear\, food & are and are ready to adventure out with us!\n$85 person\n\n\nOption 2) Don’t have your full set up yet\, not sure about food choices…. let us take care of all that for you with our all-inclusive package. Must have proper day hiking gear (boots\, water bladder etc)\n$135 per person\n  \nHave most of what you need but not quite everything? DESCRIPTION:We have teamed up with local paddler Kim Kenyon to provide a four hour Full Flat Stand Up Paddle-boarding clinic.\nThis four hour lake clinic will get you loosening up your feet and turning your paddling up a notch. Students will be introduced to pivot turns\, bracing\, foot work\, edging and paddling in dynamic conditions. Learn to engage your edges\, balance using your braces\, utilize your footwork and dial in the pivot turn. By the end of this clinic participants can expect to have a better understanding of these advanced skills and be able to utilize them in SUP surfing\, touring or river paddling.\nThis is going to be a wicked day\, meeting other like minded adventure seekers! DESCRIPTION:Join us for our first of three FREE events! These events are in collaboration with Back Forty Lifestyle Co. Everyone that takes part in one of the free events will be entered into winning one of their custom paddler hoodies or mountains and woods hoodie along with Happy Yak backpacking meals!\nWe will start off by going over a few water safety & trip planning pointers and then head out for a 1.5hr paddle from Berman Lake\, up the channel to Bednesti and then turn around to head back to our starting point. \nBring your kayak or SUP and we will see you on the water! \nMeeting – 5:45pm – 6pm\, hitting the water by 6pm \nLocation – Berman Lake regional park. Berman Lake is located 49 kms WEST of PG. You will turn LEFT off the hwy onto Norman Lake Rd and follow onto you see Berman lake regional park on your right hand side. We will be launching at the beach that is at the end of the rd\, not the area with the dock. SUMMARY:Evening Hike - Tabor Mountain - June 10th
DESCRIPTION:We are heading back Tabor Mountain\, hiking one of our favourite trails! This local gem is only 15 minutes East of town and has endless trails and cool spots to explore. We are hiking the Troll Lake Cabin loop trail which is roughly 3.5 klm.\nRated- Easy/Muddy. Easy terrain\, just be prepared for mud!\nMeeting at the gas station along HWY 16 East\, which is off to the RIGHT & just up past the jail. You can shuttle with us from there\, must wear mask and hand sanitize before entering van. If you drive yourself you must have 4 wheel drive and good clearance with vehicle.  Meeting between 5:15pm-5:30pm\, hitting the road by 5:30pm\, goal to hit the trail by just before 6pm. Please note these hikes run rain or shine. We will only postpone if conditions are unsafe.   Please be aware we will be following all current Covid guidelines.
