Valemount is situated in a valley right in the heart of three major mountain ranges; the Cariboo\, Columbia and Rocky Mountains. This place is breathtaking with views in every direction and we will see it from land & lake! For the weekend we will be camping together just outside of Valemount\, so get your tent and sleeping bag ready. There is nothing like a cold shower and a beer around a campfire after a long day of hiking.\nFriday evening we will be paddling Kinbasket Lake\, our paddle boards will be set up and ready to go by the our friends at White Cap Water Sports. After our evening paddle its back to camp for a buffet of delicious fire side grub! Time to fuel up for the EPIC hike in the morning.\nSaturday starts with breakfast\, packing up lunch\, gear check and we are off to the real star of this weekend…the true backcountry hike. We can’t even tell you the name as this hike is a lesser know\, off trail hike and we want to keep it as secret as possible. So what can we tell you? This is a truly wild and amazing adventure…rated as moderate this hike will take us roughly 10km there and back and climb over 700 metres in elevation..to some of the most stunning and jaw dropping views! DESCRIPTION:Join guides James & Rob for a stunning & remote adventure. Our guided tours are small groups\, casual pace\, have teaching moments\, lots of photo breaks and aways a great crew of people!\nAlpine meadows and gorgeous views. Thats the goal with The Vineyards Hike. This is still a fairly unused trail & beautiful hike up into breathtaking alpine meadow\, the flowers should still be in full bloom during July!\nRated – Moderate. This hike is roughly a 13 km in and out trail\, steeper ascent through the forested portion and then gradual climb to the highest peak \nMeeting – Meeting at spruce land mall out front the shoppers drug mart between 6:14am – 6:30am\, hitting the rd by 6:30am. SUMMARY:Raven Lake - July 17th
DESCRIPTION:Join guides James & Kayla for our first trip of the season\, due to snowpack and water levels we have changed this hike to Raven Lake.\nThis beautiful hike is a Prince George classic! In only 5 kms you are into the alpine with views all around.  This wander starts off gradual up through the forest\, through the alpine meadow and down to the cabin where we will relax in the sunshine and have lunch & rest!\nRated – Moderate ~ this is a 10 km in and out trail. The trail may be muddy with rotten snow in may sections. \n  \nMeeting – Meeting at spruce land mall out front the shopper drug mart between 6:45am – 7am\, hitting the rd by 7am. It is a roughly two hour drive to trail head. DESCRIPTION:This adventure is worth a mid week break from work! We will be launching our kayaks and SUPs off the dock at The Cabin Resturant on Cluculz Lake. SUMMARY:Intro to Stand Up Paddling June 16th\, 21st\, 22nd & 23rd
DESCRIPTION:This two hour worksop will take you from “Ive never been on my board before ” to feeling calm and confident cruising through flat water. Even if you have had some time on your board this is a great way to improve some skills and learn how to make the most out of your paddling adventures!\nEvery workshop is lead by certified Stand Up Paddling Instructors & starts with a dry land portion in which we go over some SUP history\, board terminology\, safety\, launching\, and getting on and off the board. We will cover paddling strokes\, proper stance and trip planning. The workshop is always finished with a short lake cruise to allow some time to play around & test out your new skills! There are only 8 spots available per session\, so make sure to send us an email today to reserve your spot!\nWe will be launching at one of our favourite lakes\, Eena Lake. Eena Lake is a half hour NorthWest of town.\nMeeting – Meeting at Eena lake around 5:30pm-   workshop starts at 6pm. These adventures run RAIN OR SHINE\, we will only postpone due to wind or lighting risks. \nWhat to pack –  \n\nClothes appropriate for the weather that day\, plus spares\nTowel\nWater\nSunscreen\, hat\, sunglasses (leave the expensive ones at home ; )\n\nWhats Included ? \n\nGuided paddle & skills instruction by certified SUP instructor\nPaddle Board (if you don’t have your own)\nPFD (if you don’t have your own)\n\n  \nThere are four evenings to choose from June 16th\, 21st\, 22nd & 23rd. We are so excited to bring our guests to Bella Coola this coming June\, we are picturing Spring rain & wild flowers. Once you are settled in\, head down to the main cook house for a refreshment & some delicious food\, relax\, stretch your legs..you’ve made it to Bella Coola! \nJune 10th – After a day of driving we want to take everyone out for a day of Bella Coola! This day will include visiting downtown\, browsing some local shops & the highlight of the day will be the guided Petroglyph tour by Copper Sun Journeys. Back at camp its time for relaxation. Wander the grounds while dinner is prepared\, grab some sangria and head up to the sauna overlooking the mountain ranges across from camp. \nJune 11th – Get your sea legs ready\, its time to sail the great Pacific Ocean with captain Pete. The seas are turquoise\, the company is outstanding and the hot springs are oh so magical. This is a full day of adventure perfection! We will pick you up at the dock and whisk you back to camp for another home cooked meal and an evening of hang out time with your adventure crew. \nJune 12th – Its time to stretch our legs and take in some stunning scenery before the long drive home Monday. This will be a slow morning\, staring with a gourmet breakfast & mimosas. After breakfast its time to pack the hiking snacks and head out! We will be doing the Burnt Bridge Loop\, which is a 4.5 km loop trail. This hike will start of with a gradual incline eventually leading us to a suspension bridge crossing over a creek and then the trail will wind us down through a wise old cedar forest. \nJune 13th – Our day to head home has arrived. Head down to the cook house for your breakfast and pack some lunch for the road. Say our goodbyes\, pack the bags and its time to hit the hwy home…wherever that may be \n  \nCost – \nThe total cost is $1\,127.38 per person.  \nA deposit of $250 is required to hold your spot. DESCRIPTION:This is a full day adventure! We will be leaving Prince George at 7am and heading out past Vanderhoof. Our first stop is the beautiful hike into Cheslatta Falls! This first wander is a 4 km in and out trail with a break at the Falls! Back in the van and we will head to our resting spot for lunch before we head on for a short but steep hike up to Cutoff Butte Trail. A beautiful lunch spread will be set up for you lake side\, enjoy a stroll along  the beach with sandwich in hand!\nThis hike is short at only 1.3km to the top but its a scramble and steep terrain. The top of this hike is the site of an ancient volcanic landmark with amazing views of the surrounding area! But we`re not done yet! Our last stop on the way home will be Greer Creek Falls. This is an easy stroll down to some beautiful waterfalls and will be our last stop before we hit the road home.\nThis will be a full day of driving and hiking. come with your pillow\, snacks\, ebook (for the drive) and ready for a lot of sitting & moving! \nMeeting – Outside Starbucks in College Height between 6:45am – 7am\, hitting the rd by 7am. It will be roughly a 2.5 hour drive to our first hike but we will stop for breaks along the way as needed. DESCRIPTION:We are heading a few hours South to escape the cold & head to the desert. Join us as we head to Williams Lake to hike Farwell Canyon. This place is unlike any landscape we have around Prince George. We will head out for a gourd wander up upon the sand dunes while we have our lunch! This is a 6.3 km trail rated as easy/moderate. Most of the trail is flat with only a few sections of steep terrain to climb. After our lunch we will head back to van and take everyone down to the homestead for some more exploration before we make our way back to Williams Lake. Once back its time to relax and refresh at our hotel before we head down to Fox Mountain Brewing for our dinner & drinks out on their patio over looking Williams Lake.\nItinerary – \nMake your way down to Williams Lake early Saturday morning (if you are coming from Prince George you will want to hit the road around 6:30am) and we will all meet at the hotel. DESCRIPTION:We have decided to make our custom tour into a group tour to give more people to opportunity to attend. Join Meg\, Monday March 28th for a full day of adventure! We will take you from snowshoes to delicious food\, with lots of enjoyable stops along the way! The day will run roughly from 7am – 7pm. Grab your friends and book your spots or come solo and meet new people as you spend the day exploring together.\nItinerary – \nWe will leave Prince George around 7am and make the trip to Wells\, BC which is a two hour drive. We will be stopping at the Sunset theatre to pick up our home made sandwiches that we will be having for lunch & then heading straight to our snowshoe to stretch our legs and take in some fresh mountain air. This snowshoe is rated easy with lots of flat terrain with some gradual incline\, it will be roughly 6 kms and take 2-3 hours. \nAfter our snowshoe & lunch among the snowy forest pillows we will head for a tour around Wells. This will include a stop at The Frog on the Bog Gifts\, Morsels Moveable Feast\, a drive around town to look at all of the eclectic houses and another short walk behind town along a snow-covered boardwalk to take in the stunning mountain ranges behind. \nThe day will finish with a final visit to The jack O Clubs Pub or Wells Hotel for some dinner and refreshments. DESCRIPTION:Lets head West for this snowy off trail adventure. This snowshoe will start off at Norman Lake\, we will follow a path across the forest to the first bay of Dahl Lake. From there we will snowshoe along the lake to the peninsula at the end of the first portion of Dahl Lake. DESCRIPTION:We had sooo many requests last season to host an evening at the Caledonia Nordic Track so we knew we had to make this happen for Winter 2022. Personally I am a terrible cross-country skier\, but who better to fall down in front of then a wicked group of Adventure Crew humans!! Lets hit the tracks around 6:30pm and make our way along some green routes under the night sky. Our ski adventure will be followed by a fire and some refreshments to finish off the night. This will be lead by an AHG ACMG Hiking guide with Winter Accreditation. \n\nAvalanche gear\, training\, where to find courses\nWhere to find the avalanche ratings and how to read them\, plan your route & leave a trip plan\nWhats in our winter hiking packs (taking out all of our gear and giving you a list to take home)\nProper snowshoe & micro spikes use\n\n  \nThis will be put on at Shane Lake\, we will start with a presentation under the shelter and then head out to try out the gear and give some demonstrations. DESCRIPTION:We are heading to Sugarbowl – Grizzly Den Park for our first Viking Ridge adventure of the season! This climb starts off STEEP as it winds up through the Cedar & Hemlock forest. We will break for lunch at the alpine meadows before making our final push to the summit above the lake. This is a 12 km in and out trail that climbs roughly 1000m in elevation. DESCRIPTION:Back to the Cariboo we go for an amazing fall hike!It will most likely be winter in the mountains around Wells\, so snowshoes are a must! Our Cariboo based hiking leader ember will be guiding the Yellowhawk Trail just outside of Wells B.C. This is a 7 km in and out trail which will take us about 500 metres in elevation\, adventure should take about 4-6 hours\, just depends on snow level. It is a roughly two hour drive to trail head. Goal is to be back in PG by around 7pm\, depending on trail condition\, group pace & how long we mingle at pub after. Please be aware that if you are riding in the van you must wear a mask while not eating or drinking. For the pub after you will need to show vaccine passport\, as per provincial health guidelines. DESCRIPTION:Its time to head back to Fang for a day hike! This will be one of our most challenging trips as there is difficult terrain and steep parts to climb. We will take our time and make sure everyone feels confident making their way through the boulder fields and up the steep pitch to the first cave. SUMMARY:Troll Lake Cabin - Evening Hike - September 28th
DESCRIPTION:Our favourite little cabin in the woods. Adventure out with us to Tabor Mountain as we wander along a 3.5 km loop trail. This local gem is only 15 minutes East of town and has endless trails and cool spots to explore.\nRated- Easy/ if raining trail is very muddy\nMeeting at the gas station along HWY 16 East\, which is off to the RIGHT & just up past the jail. You can shuttle with us from there\, or follow. If you drive yourself you must have 4 wheel drive and good clearance with vehicle. Space in vehicle is limited so first 12 guests to register and request transportation will be able to ride out. Meeting between 5:15pm-5:30pm\, hitting the road by 5:30pm\, goal to hit the trail by just before 6pm. Please note these hikes run rain or shine. We will only postpone if conditions are unsafe.   Please be aware we will be following all current Covid guidelines. Covid self assessment must be done prior to meeting up which will be emailed prior to adventure. \nWhat to bring-\n\nGear for all elements (gloves\, toque\, layers) Dress in layers – warmth\, heat\, mosquitos!\nBackpack & water\nGaiters (strongly recommended)\nPoles (optional)\n\n\nWhats Included? \n\nGuided hike ( hike with guides who have extensive knowledge of area\, route\, terrain & are equipped to keep you safe while you have an amazing time on your adventure)\nBeverage & snack\n\n****An email will be sent out to all group members 24 hours prior to go over meeting spot & any gear/info changes**** If you require any gear or have any questions please email us at theadventurebustours@gmail.com \n\nWe can’t wait to Adventure with you!\nMeg & James\nRefund Policy – Due to the nature of outdoor adventure and that we have many upfront costs\, all day adventures are non refundable within 48 hours of trip. However we can issue a credit for full amount that guest can use to a future adventure. We do everything in the best of our abilities to provide an amazing experience however due to weather & safety restrictions we may\, at times\, not be able to reach summit or desired view with group.  \n\nPlease be advised we are not responsible for any damage done to vehicle during your drive to trail head
