DESCRIPTION:Beginner Stand Up Paddleboarding Workshop\nThis 2-hour beginner SUP workshop is designed to take you from “I’ve never stood on a board before” to feeling relaxed\, balanced\, and confident cruising on calm water.If you’ve paddled a bit already\, this session is also a fantastic way to fine-tune your technique\, improve efficiency\, and feel more comfortable on longer paddles. \nEach workshop is led by certified Stand Up Paddleboarding instructors and starts on dry land\, where we’ll cover the essentials: \n\n\nA brief intro to SUP and equipment \n\n\nBoard and paddle terminology \n\n\nSafety basics and lake awareness \n\n\nLaunching and landing \n\n\nGetting on and off your board with confidence \n\n\nProper stance and efficient paddling strokes \n\n\nOnce we’ve covered the fundamentals\, we’ll head onto the water for a gentle\, guided lake cruise\, giving you time to practice\, play\, and settle into your new skills in a supportive\, low-pressure environment. \n\nLocation\nWe’ll be launching at Eena Lake — a warm\, shallow and calm lake located north of PG. There’s room for tents or trailers\, so set up your space\, explore the lake\, and get to know your crew. We will have snacks\, games and plenty of paddle time\, exploring the beautiful Quesnel Lake. After unpacking\, set out on a half-day hike beneath the towering face of Rostrum Peak\, where broken glaciers drape over the East Face.\nReturn for dinner and an evening of starlight and stillness — the kind of quiet you can feel in your bones.\n\nDay 2 – Traverse to Icefall Lodge\nAfter breakfast\, begin your 8 km treeline traverse through alpine meadows and wildflowers on the way to Icefall Lodge.Expect sweeping vistas\, dramatic rock formations\, and peaceful lunch spots along the route. \nAt the lodge\, you’ll be welcomed with appetizers from the lodge chef and a well-earned cold drink on the deck.
