SUMMARY:Rock Quarry Snowshoe - March 10th
DESCRIPTION:We will be heading an hour West of town for an off trail wander. This is an easy 4km in and out snowshoe. The adventure starts off flat and gradually climbs to the top of a rock quarry. From the top we have views of Norman Lake and the rocks below our feet. \nMeeting in front of the College Starbucks (grab your coffee for the drive) We are hoping to be able to use to van for transportation by this date however if we are not able due to provincial restrictions please be ready to drive yourself & follow us from meet up location. The trail head is about one hour West of Prince George. Meeting between 8:45am-9am\, goal to hit the road by 9am and the trail by 10:15am. \nPlease be aware we will be following all current Covid guidelines. When you arrive please stay at vehicle while you put on snowshoes & maintain 2 meters distance from other group members. DESCRIPTION:Lets head to Prince Georges iconic Teapot Mountain! This is a short but steep climb to one of the best views around. We will rest for lunch & take in the views at the top!\nThis is a 6.5 km in & out trail in the winter. \nRated as easy/moderate \nWe will meet in the parking lot of the Tim hortons up in the Hart\, everyone call follow out from there. Once on the highway we will follow for roughly 43 kms & then turn left onto Tallus rd off hwy 97 North & then right onto Caine Creek FSR North to access the trail head. \nLeaving Prince George 8am – Back in Prince George by 3pm  \nWhat to bring- \n\nSnowshoes\nLunch\nGear for all elements (gloves\, toque\, layers) Dress in layers (be bold\, start cold) you will warm up fast as we head upwards so make sure to wear pieces you can easily take off when you get hot and put back on at the top.\nBackpack for lunch & water\nPoles (optional)\n\nIf you require any gear or have any questions please email us at theadventurebustours@gmail.com \nPlease be aware we will be following all current Covid guidelines. SUMMARY:Driscoll Ridge Snowshoe - Jan 23rd
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we head to the land of Ancient Cedars and EPIC views. This is a 7km in & out trail. The trail gradually climbs up through the old growth cedars until we reach the first lookout point at 3.5 km. We will rest here\, take in the view & head back down.\nRated as moderate \nMeeting at Spruce Land parking lot in front of the Starbucks (grab your coffee for the drive) and everyone can follow us out from there. The drive to the trail head is roughly 1 hour 15 mins. Leaving Prince George at 8am\, goal to hit the trail by 9:30am. Heading back to PG at 2pm at the latest. \nWe will maintain steady pace so that we are able to reach lookout by 12pm\, our turn around time regardless if we have reached lookout or not will be 1pm. We do this to keep everyone safe while we still have daylight for hike & drive home. \nPlease be aware we will be following all current Covid guidelines. When you arrive please stay at vehicle while you put on snowshoes & maintain 2 meters distance from other group members. DESCRIPTION:We are heading to Forests for the World to snowshoe the Shane Lake Loop. This is an easy 4.2 km adventure\, perfect for all fitness levels. \nRated as easy \nMeeting at parking at Shane Lake trail head – Cranbrook Hill Rd\, then left onto Kueng rd and follow all the way down to the parking lot. Please arrive between 5:45pm & 6pm\, hitting the trail by 6pm. \nPlease be aware we will be following all current Covid guidelines. You must preform a Covid self assessment before meeting us at trail head. \nWhat to bring- \n\nSnowshoes or just ice cleats if limited snow.
