SUMMARY:FREE - Intro to Stand Up Paddling - September 18th - Penticton
DESCRIPTION:This intro workshop will take you from “Ive never been on my board before ” to feeling calm and confident cruising through flat water. Even if you have SUP experience this is a great way to improve upon your skills and learn how to make the most out of your paddling adventures!\nEvery workshop is lead by certified Stand Up Paddling Instructors & starts with a dry land portion. In this section the instructors will go over some board terminology\, safety\, launching\, and getting on and off the board. They also will cover paddling strokes\, proper stance and trip planning. The workshop is always finished with a short lake cruise to allow some time to play around & test out your new skills!\nMEETING  – We will be launching in Penticton on Okanagan Lake. Meeting at paddling from Marina was beach. Found near the intersection of Abbott & Marina Way. Please note – this workshop can be cancelled due to weather/wind.\nWhat to pack –  \n\nPFD with whistle\nClothes appropriate for the weather that day\, plus spares\nTowel\nWater\nSunscreen\, hat\, sunglasses (leave the expensive ones at home ; )\n\nWhats Included ? \n\nGuided paddle & skills instruction by certified SUP instructor\n\n\nPlease click link for waiver and read through prior to booking ticket. A paper copy will be brought by instructor for each participant to sign prior to workshop.
