SUMMARY:Backpacking in McGregor Range - June 7th-8th 2024
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our first Backpacking Trip of the sweet Summer Season! We will be heading into the glory of the McGregor Range.\nCome take on one of the 7 Summits of Prince George with us and bliss out on this epic Northern BC beaut…. with brilliant terrain…alpine meadows… gorgeous wildflowers & a ridge-line that will stop you in your tracks. It’s one of our favs. The flowers…. we dream of these flowers on wet\, grey winter days….\nWe will follow an in and out trail and cover roughly 15.3 km total. It’s approx. 6.5 km and 1\,400 meters elevation gain to where we will make camp for the night\, be prepared to work for it. But trust us- the payoff is high with this one.\nDuring guided hikes your hiking guide sets the pace\, prompts scheduled breaks for snacks\, water & beauty appreciation moments. Your guide will also cover local history\, flora\, fauna\, animal habitats and go over animal awareness as well as hiking/route finding skills. \nRated – Moderate/ Hard with full pack. There’s some steep terrain and almost 1\,200 meters of elevation gain. We suggest you are a confident hiking a full day prior to attending this trip. All cooking will take place in Cabin. There are also a couple sleeping bunks available in cabin for anyone who would prefer/ doesn’t have tenting gear. \nHave most of what you need but not quite everything? Rentals available.
